Saturday
My first flight of the day was a proficiency check by Shad, which went well, while Sasha was flying the tow plane.
Solo flights 3 & 4 went well; Shad watched the first landing and said, “Do that every time!”
On solo #5 I was able to find just enough lift to fly around for a total flight time of 0.6 hrs.
After lunch, while doing ground school homework inside, waiting for Sasha who was flying with someone else, I watched the wind sock flap and gyrate and wondered if it was wise to continue flying.
Then Shad came in and ruled conditions were off the scale for student solos.
I could have done more dual instruction but decided I didn't want to do a flight that, even while it probably wouldn't have been "dangerous", might result in a poor proficiency showing.
I called it a day.
